![]() ![]() I quite liked Ecthis as a villain, but she retreads very similar ground to Ulstryx (remaking the world), the Deepist royals (turning humans to her cause) and the dragon (a justified superiority complex). The moment to moment writing is really great, but overall the campaign drags, never quite feeling like it justifies five chapters instead of three. Some strange choices like losing a main character for a chapter and constantly hinting at the mothman's misdeeds yet expecting him to be a hero anyway never clicked with me. Eluna and the Moth: heard really great things about it, but didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. For such a short campaign it still feels epic. The themes of fighting back against an unstoppable corruptive force and the introduction of straight up Lovecraftian horror towards the end were really well done. Age of Ulstryx: According to achievement data, only barely more than a third of players make it through the introductory campaign. For a game that involves frequent body modifications, magical prosthetics, and reincarnation, it would be very weird if the game blindly condemned a character for choosing the Path of Steampunk just because the automatons look ugly. ![]() I particularly liked how the morthagi weren't depicted as evil, just axiomatic, and the choice to become a morthagi as a legitimate one rather than inherently bad just because they aren't human.
